Love everything about this, Natalie! Thrilled to share your reading joys! 💛 I loved A Lady’s Guide to Fortune Hunting and Book Lovers in 2022! Making note of Delilah Green and When A Scot Ties The Knot for the next time I’m ready for a romance. Would love to hear if there are some chaste / closed door romance novels that you find sparkly & delightful. Thanks for sharing with us!
Thank you! I am planning on writing a post about all my closed door recs, although I want to get through a few more closed door romances on my TBR first and really compile a top-tier list.
This is so fun, Natalie! I don’t read a lot of romance, but I love the genre and your reviews sparkle - I’m glad to have a trusted source for recommendations! Sarah MacLean is my favorite romance author - love how she writes that witty banter and her heroines are so kickass. Is she still writing? (Is she still good?!)
Thank you! Sarah MacLean is still writing and (I think) still good. Her books can be hit or miss for me but when they hit, I enjoy them so, so much. Her most recent series is about a group of women secretly taking down powerful men and it's so fun and soapy.
I love your tier system and am incredibly excited to learn more about your reading life this year! I’m definitely bookmarking this email for the next time I’m in need of a romance fix!
I plan to return to this post when planning my next romance read - you’ve listed so many gems. Coincidentally, I also read and loved « When a Scot Ties the Knot « when I had Covid over the summer. I also devoured Nora Goes Off Script at that time. If you haven’t picked it up, it is a slower burn romantic comedy with mild steam.
Thank you! I've heard such good things about Nora Goes Off Script and my hold finally came in at the library--I'm really looking forward to reading it this month!
I love your tier system so much! And I’m so grateful to have found another romance reader here on Substack ❤️

I can always be patient for a *top-tier* list!!!

I just downloaded Bomb Shell (the first in her latest Hell's Belles series) - thank you for the recommendation!

Thank you! I think I'm going to try a similar tiering system for my reads each month, especially given how much I enjoyed putting together this one.
Love that you are doing this newsletter, and can’t wait to read more ♥️
Thank you! <3
What a vibrant reading life for 2022, Natalie!
