I wish I had called my newsletter Moonstruck! It’s a great name.

holy smokes 19 books! and wearing a jacket!! I did a deep dive into Maggie O'Farrell's backlist in 2022 (before Marriage Portrait) and ended with I am I am I am. I loved it as a memoir AND seeing all the connections to her novels was such a fun way to wrap up my project! I have Margo's Got Money Troubles from the library and I hope I enjoy it as much as you did. Happy FALL in NYC!

All I have left is After You'd Gone and I'm a little enamored of the idea of ending it all with her first novel! It's been a long, hot summer so I was especially thrilled the minute I was able to get my jean jacket out.

You had such a great reading month. My book club read Maggie O'Farrell's I am I am I am and I think I was the only one that appreciated it. Ha ha. I think everyone was frustrated that she seemed to put herself into most of these situations.

Oh no, it's always a little awkward when you're the only one who liked the book! But I still think so many of her books would be great book club picks because there's so much to unpack.

This is the only one I've read of hers. What is your all time favorite?

Really enjoy reading these round ups, lots if books to add to my TBR pile! The Maggie O' Farrell book sounds great, and I've got 'The Ex Vows' waiting for me on my Kindle so looking forward to reading that. I'm currently listening to 'My Favourite Mistake' by Marian Keyes on Audible, which I'm really enjoying.

Hope you enjoy! I've never read any Marian Keyes but I'm super curious about the Walsh Sisters series after reading Michelle at Literary Leanings' review.

I'd highly recommend Marian Keyes, she's one of my favourite authors - 'Again, Rachel' is really good too.

I read Warm Hands of Ghosts a couple of months ago and also loved it. I picked it up because I loved The Bear and the Nightingale trilogy and you're right - so different, yet still really enjoyable.

My three favorite reads of August were Whale Fall by Elizabeth O'Connor, Held by Anne Michaels, and A Day of Fallen Night by Samantha Shannon. All 3 were very different from each other but so wonderful!

For a touch of gothic in September, could I suggest Enlightenment by Sarah Perry? There's just a touch and it's full of lost and re-found love, stars, examining faith, and loving those who have done unforgivable things. I just finished it today and my head is spinning from it!

I actually have a copy of Enlightenment sitting in my TBR basket right now! I've really enjoyed her previous novels and it sounds fascinating.
