Cultivating trusted reading friendships has added so much to my reading life - you and Chelsey are my go-to for romance, Sara @Fiction Matters for literary fiction, and the whole Fiction Matters crew generally! I have recently discovered a local bookstore whose owner seems to have a taste for fiction (especially “classics” and new literary releases) that’s closely aligned with mine. Possession is one of her favorite books and we both hate-read Creation Lake 😊 I also love your newsletter for peeks into NYC, my favorite city, especially in the fall!
What to Read If is a favourite Substack rec place for me. I also pay special attention to Anne Bogel's seasonal reading guides, especially the summer one. For the UK, I browse through the book previews on The Bookseller's website (I'm proud that after I asked them to add romance as a category, they did!).
